I received this submission and decided to publish her note along with her images. I think this represents how many of us feel/felt when we initially started photography.
Dream Cafe Photography
Hello! First I feel I should say, I am not a professional photographer. My husband bought me a Nikon D5000 years ago. I took many many pictures, and my passion never developed. My camera collected dust in the closet. Then came our NOAH. After 6 long years of trying to have a baby, we finally received our little miracle baby November 18, 2011. I knew I would love him, I already had before he was born. I swore I was going to cherish every little step he took. So my little Nikon was taken out of the closet and dusted off. Our new journey began with Noah’s. After about a year, I started reading blog after blog on how to better my photos. Can you believe it took me a year to realize there was a manual option!? I used manual for a few months on my Nikon and quickly realized I had outgrown it. After much research, I then purchased the Canon 5D Mark II. Woah baby, did that make a HUGE difference. I am now constantly practicing, learning & blogging for my own personal growth. This year I decided to do more and start my first 365. I am in love with this project. I actually had an image be chosen as a weekly favorite on two blogs, which made me over the moon giddy! People actually liked my facebook page!!! hehe. I have already grown more in these 31 days than I have in 2 years! Photography has trained my eyes to see the world in a different way. I owe all of my images, and my passion to my little Noah Bear.
